Ministry of Trade is responsible for Turkish Foreign Trade Regime regulations, implementations and improvement of Turkey’s market volume. Also, cross-border investments, services and incentive implementation strategies. The main mission of Ministry of Trade is to arrange and to implement bilateral and multilateral commercial and economic relations related to the exports, promoting exports, imports, contractual works and to monitor and to develop implementations related. The Ministry of Trade is mainly responsible for designation and administration of the foreign trade policies which will prompt innovation, competitiveness and international economic and commercial collaboration. Developing Turkish economy, increasing social prosperity as well as regulating Turkey’s relations with the EU in the context of foreign trade are also some of the most significant goals. The Ministry is also in charge of Turkey’s standardization policies in foreign trade with regard to international provisions concerning the removal of technical barriers to trade and preparation of the legislation about the inspection of the products at the export and import stages within the framework of the quality requirements and technical regulations.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM as the umbrella organization of the exporting firms around 90,000 was established in 1993. It continues its studies on legitimate basis as the professional organization of the firms involved in foreign trade. TIM organized as a general secretary organization as being the upper organization of the associations of exporters is represented by the Chairman. 

The primary reason of existence of TİM is to determine the issues related to the export, conduct improvement studies, and to insure the transfer of the problems of the exporters to the highest competent authorities.

Aegean Exporters' Association (EIB) was founded in 1939 in Izmir comprising 12 sectors in the fields of aqua and animal products, dried fruits, olive and olive oil, cereals, forestry and wooden products, fresh fruits and vegetables, tobacco, textiles and raw materials, apparel, leather and leather products, minerals, ferrous and non-ferrous metals with over 7.500 member companies. The annual exports realized by the members of all 12 Associations account for 8.1% of Turkey’s total exports with 12.2 Billion $.
